CONTACT POINT CONCEPT - CPC

The CPC is, quite simply, the most important concept in tennis. If a player can't make good contact with the tennis ball every time, it hardly matters how strong or fine an athlete they may be. The end result will be a missed shot! Ironically, it takes only the application of the mind to master the CPC. A player may be in perfect position to hit the ball with their racket well prepared; however, if the CPC isn't applied properly, the ball will not be hit cleanly with good timing. The Contact Point is the point in the swing where racket and ball meet. It is here where the Contact Point Concept comes into play. In a nutshell, a player keeps his or her eyes focused on the contact point well after the ball is gone and the racket is in follow through. This assures good contact, timing, and the wonderful feeling of a shot well hit!
